The hearings, previously scheduled for August, have been moved to October 29th, and the deadline for filing interventions or letters of protest to October 15. So if you missed the August deadline you now have an opportunity to file your objections. If there is a public official or business leader you can think of, now is the time to ask them to write a letter and post it.
The application has been divided into three separate docket numbers, so there will be three separate letters for the protest and three separate letters for the intervenors. The following contains information and links to files that you can use to write your own Intervener letters or petitions, or you can download ready to print letters for each of the three Dockets. You may submit these letters yourself or send them to us and we will forward them on for you. The mailing address for CTPFC is 1430 Henry Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202. If you plan to have the Coalition file your letters for you we once again ask you to send them to CTPFC at least 2 weeks before the new deadline.
Please note: If you have submitted letters, you will be getting copies of the communications between parties, there is nothing you need to do with these papers.
It’s Important for us to register our opposition with the PUC. We have posted sample intervener and protest letters for all three dockets.
The three separate Dockets are:
1: Asking for Certificate of Convenience to operate in PA
2: Siting of Line
3: Greene Township would need to rezone the property where they want to put the substation
